Ibotta, What the heck is that?

*This post contains affiliate links, please see disclosure page.*
Okay, so maybe you're like me, always a little late to the "scene", no problem,
I can help with this one!
1. So, what is IBOTTA, you ask?
Well, it's a way to save money on things that you buy online or in the store! There are hundreds of retailers to choose from both in store and online! Doesn't that sound amazing!?

2. Ok, so what sort of things do I have to buy?
There are tons of places you can shop, in person or online and get some of the money you spend back! I save money when I shop at local grocery stores like Publix, Walmart, Target, Winn-Dixie, and Safeway. And I also use the app when I make online purchases, from places like Amazon, Groupon or even Walmart.Com! Now, when you do what they call "mobile shopping" (making purchases online) you have to go into the IBOTTA app and click the link, to the specific store you want to buy stuff from. No biggie, it will also show you how much of a percentage you should expect back from each store. You can expect to get back, anywhere from 2/3% to up to 40/50%! I have seen IBOTTA 40% back on any Groupon purchase!! And that's stacked on top of any deal Groupon might be offering at the time! I always keep my notifications on for IBOTTA,  so I don't miss any super amazing deals. I am always on the lookout for a 40% off Groupon deal!

3. It sounds amazing, so does it cost anything?
NOPE! The app is absolutely free to download and use, you can find it, HERE ,if you download it now, through my special link you will receive a $10.00 credit, after you redeem one deal! That's right $10.00!! It just keeps getting better!

4. I'm loving this so far, But How Exactly Does the app work?
Ok here's the deal. You download the app, get it all set up with your info, make sure you link your PayPal account, this makes getting paid super-fast and easy! Don't have a PayPal account, click here (its free too! If you're not into using PayPal, they have other options for payment, they can even send you a paper check!). Once you have your account setup, you can begin earning money back. Check out the mobile shopping section of the app, to shop instantly through those retailers to start earning cash back. The app will tell you what percentage of a return you will receive from each specific retailer. If online shopping is not your thing, you can also choose local stores, grocery stores, department stores, drug stores and more. Click on the specific store you're interested in and it will bring up a list of products and how much you can earn back for each item when you buy it. Click the little red plus sign to put that deal into your "My Offers" section. Each offer coupon does have an expiration date, so make sure you shop and redeem the offer before that date! Now that you have your offer's selected, go shopping! Buy those items, come home, don't throw out your receipt!

5. I've purchased my items, have my receipt, Now what do I do?
Log into the app, Hit "Redeem", choose the store you made the purchases at. Lay your receipt out flat, take a photo of it (you can take the photo in segments, just make sure its in focus and clear to read), you will need to make sure you get a photo(s) of the receipt from top to bottom. After that click "finish", then it will ask you "What did you buy?" tap of the items you bought, then select the quantity, then scan the barcode(s) of each item, when you're all done scanning then hit the button that says "Add # Purchases: $0.00" This area will tell you how many items you're getting money back for and how much! Now you sit back and wait for the money to roll in! It usually takes about 24 hours to get money back for in-store purchases. Some store takes a lot less time. Like Walmart, with Walmart, you can scan the QRC code (the little square looking thing) on your receipt, instead of having to take a photo of it (I love this), scan your barcodes, hit add purchases and its usually within a few hours you get your cash back! Online shopping purchase does take a while longer to credit to your account. It varies based on the retailer, I have seen these take up to 30 days to credit to my account, and as little as a few days.

6. Ok, all that sounds doable, Now, How much do I need in my account before I can cash it out?
$20 bucks and you will have more than half of that, once you redeem one offer, when you use my link, HERE! You'll already be more than halfway there! Just take a look at how much I've earned so far and it's only been a few months, over $115.00! That's my real account to date! And I'm broke, I don't even shop that much (lol!)! Just imagine the savings! I use mine every other week when I grocery shop, during holidays when I shop online, Hey! There are even offers on alcohol!

7. Why use IBOTTA and not one of the other apps out there?!
Honestly, I'd use them all! But, if you're going to use just one, I would use IBOTTA, they have the most offers and the app is way more user-friendly. And I don't have to go out of my way to buy anything I wouldn't be buying already, And that's the meaning of true savings! To be able to save on the things you're already buying! Right?! Did I also mention you can use IBOTTA on top of any deals or coupons you use at the stores, mobile or otherwise! That makes it like double dipping! It's such an amazing app! If you haven't already, get it now, HERE!

Why it's important to chaperon, fieldtrips!

Our first field trip, and we did not get picked to be chaperon's-Ugh. Why is it important to be a chaperon on your child's fieldtrips, you say?! 1. Stranger Danger! A strange person will be in charge of a group of, undoubtedly 6-8, 7-year-old boys! And we all know how unruly little boys can be at that age. Plus, my son is not your typical Mancho boy, he's more on the sensitive side-A total M-path. I'd expect him to probably fall apart crying, rather than get in trouble for being mischievous. Can another parent deal with that? - While trying to keep her, two-eyes on 5 other boys!? I have little confidence in most parents' ability to, parent or babysit, for that matter. It's all in my head, right? I'll just keep repeating this all day, because now I won't be able to concentrate on anything else! 2. No Souvenirs! The kids can't bring anything on the field trip! Ya, I get that, who wants to be responsible for 200 kids and their junk? The

Box Tops for Education!

*this post does contain affiliate links, please visit disclosure page for more information* As I was packing my son's lunch for school one day, I noticed a little pink rectangle on the bottom of the Ziploc box, it said "Box Tops for Education". I've always kind of known about the program, but never really, completely understood how it worked or the importance of doing it. So, I did a little research, your welcome! What is Box Tops for Education? Box Tops for Education is an awesome program sponsored by hundreds of companies that offer a simple convenient way for families to help earn money for local schools! A typical box top is worth 10 cents to your school of choice. Schools can turn these box tops in for cash, to buy things the school needs; like new computers, playground equipment, books, anything! From time to time, you can even find bonus box tops that can be worth more than 10 cents! It's such a easy, simple way to help contribute to our schoo

A Real, Real Life Moment - Feeling Defeated

Everyone feels defeated in life from time-to-time. I know I do... My Current State of Mind 5/10/2018 @ 6am With so many things going on right now, sometimes I even forget to take a breath. For the last few years, it seems life has been kicking my behind. I don't feel like I want a whole lot out of life, just to be able to enjoy simple things, would be refreshing. I am mentally exhausted from this roller coaster ride. Too many downward spirals, not enough ups. I am trying, but perhaps not hard enough? I suppose there has to be some reason I keep ending up on the losing end of everything! I am feeling a little defeated if you couldn't already tell. It is so very hard to carry on day to day, being positive when inside your soul is just tired. Sometimes all I want to do is curl up in the bed and just cry for a while, just be alone, for time to just to stand still and give me just a few minutes of solitude to make sense of all the mess. I keep pushing forward, but c
